Corvus

Privacy policy

Updated 1 October 2026

Corvus is a personal assistant for its owner. This policy describes the Gmail connection being developed. Gmail access begins only after the account holder authorizes the app through Google.

Google data requested

Corvus requests the Gmail gmail.modify permission. Once connected, it may access account identity, messages, headers, bodies, attachments, threads, labels, drafts, and mailbox change history. That permission can also create drafts, send mail, and change message labels. Corvus does not request permission to bypass Trash and permanently delete messages.

How the data is used

Corvus uses Gmail data to show and search mail for its owner, classify messages, extract relevant attachments, connect messages to tasks and expected follow-ups, prepare drafts, and carry out mail actions the owner authorizes. Sending external email requires an action-specific approval or direct instruction from the owner. Gmail data is not used for advertising or to train a general-purpose model.

Storage and processing

Corvus uses Gmail as the source of the original messages. It may store message identifiers, limited metadata, task facts, and follow-up state on the owner's private server hosted by Hetzner. It fetches message content when needed for an assistant feature instead of building a permanent duplicate mailbox. Temporary content and attachment copies are removed when no longer needed. Derived task and communication history may be retained for long-term use until the owner requests deletion. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and kept outside public website files.

To classify or summarize selected messages, Corvus may send relevant text to external AI model providers through OpenRouter. This processing is limited to providing the requested assistant feature. Mail is otherwise shared only with service providers needed to operate Corvus and with recipients of messages the owner directs Corvus to send. Corvus does not sell Gmail data.

Control and deletion

The account holder can revoke Corvus's Google access in Google Account settings. To request removal of data already stored by Corvus, contact the address below. A request to delete derived assistant memory does not automatically delete the original message in Gmail; deletion of source mail requires a separate instruction.

Google Limited Use

Corvus's use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Access, use, and transfer are limited to the user-facing mail features described here.
